The Catenacciu
Catenacciu (connected) led the procession of the Good Friday.
This tradition is rich in symbol, the passion of Christ is lived by the penitent one, like him, it will fall three times on the way which leads to Golgotha. Catenacciu is vêtu of a dress and of a red hood, folded under a cross of 31,5 kg its walk is slow, its step slowed down by a chain of 14 kg fixed on its ankle. | |
