Coral
It is known and appreciated since Antiquity. The man took for plant and then stone. It is in 1725 that one classifies it in the animal world. Coveted Occident with the East, it is synonymous with amulet and protects from the “evil eye”. It is especially of great value and currency of exchange such as the invaluable stones and gold. In Corsica, the coral is of a quality and of a color exceptional, it is fished with more than 100 m basic by the plungers which reach each day the limits of the extreme. This coral called “invaluable” because it shines naturally by grinding and polishing, in some artisanal workshops, often with ancestral gestures, is selected, cut, cut and polished to be gone up in collar, buckles, rings, of gold and money.
